The National Weather Service has issued an extreme cold watch in effect from 4 a.m. Monday through 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23. Temperatures could dip down as low as -6 on Tuesday morning. Stay inside if you can and if you go outdoors, bundle up, don’t stay out too long and watch for signs of hypothermia.

Also, Monongalia County Health Department will be closed on Monday, Jan. 20, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. The health department will reopen on Tuesday morning.
